Using the structure of pregnancy, childbirth, and the fourth trimester, Matrescence is a story of motherhood in the modern era.

100 minutes – 3 Women, 2 Men. The past and present collide in Eleanor and Emily, 2 women living a century apart who both haunt the same room at the Elgin Institute of Mental Health. They are each other’s only solace in a story that explores the nature of the female experience and how it has changed over the course of a hundred years, and how it has not.
